Lost in America: A Young Hispanic's Quest for Hope, ispublished by SF Communications of Georgia. It is a 108 page non-fiction book containing 30 color photographs documenting the extraordinary journey of a young Honduran boy named Candelario, who survived incredible struggles created by Hurricane Mitch, the most destructive hurricane to hit Central America in 200 years.

Candelario has been named Hispanic Student of the Year 2012-2013 by Mundo Hispanico, Cox Newspapers, Inc., the South's leading Hispanic newspaper in Atlanta, Georgia. In March 2013, the Hispanic Heritage Foundation in Washington, D.C. is recognizing Candelario for outstanding leadership during a ceremony at Georgia Tech's School of Business. He is receiving the Gold Award for Hispanic Student Leadership in the South for 2013.
