It is a 108 page non-fiction book containing 30 color photographs documenting the extraordinary journey of a young Honduran boy named Candelario, who survived incredible struggles created by Hurricane Mitch, the most destructive hurricane to hit Central America in 200 years.

In March 2013, the Hispanic Heritage Foundation in Washington, D.C. is recognizing Candelario for outstanding leadership during a ceremony at Georgia Tech's School of Business. He is receiving the Gold Award for Hispanic Student Leadership in the South for 2013.
